An extensive free medical camp was held on January 31 at the Melinchimunai R.C.T.M School in Karampon Parish.
Organized under the guidance of Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Thayakaran, the camp brought together a 10-member team of medical specialists from the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, along with medical students, health workers, and paramedics, totaling around 50 participants.
Services provided included blood tests, eye examinations, dental care, cancer screenings, women’s health check-ups, general health assessments, and distribution of free medicines to patients.
Approximately 300 patients from the villages of Melinchimunai, Karambon, Kayts and Paruthiyadippu benefited from the camp.
This is the second medical outreach in Melinchimunai, the first having been conducted in 2022.
