The Fourth Anniversary Celebration of the Marainathi Catholic Media Centre of the Diocese of Jaffna was celebrated on November 28.
The event, presided over by Rev. Fr. A. Anton Stephen, Director of the Media Centre, featured cultural performances and special honouring ceremonies, highlighting the Centre’s vibrant journey and achievements.
During the felicitation segment, certificates were presented to participants of the Lenten Pasam Competition, conducted this year through WhatsApp. Winners of the weekly quiz programme broadcast on Yarl Marai Alai TV were also awarded prizes. In addition, well-wishers and volunteers who have consistently supported the Media Centre were honoured for their invaluable contributions.
The celebration was graced by Rev. Fr. Josephthas Jebaratnam, Vicar General of the Jaffna Diocese, as the Chief Guest.
Numerous priests, religious sisters, and members of the public participated, adding warmth and a sense of community to the occasion.
