The faithful across the Jaffna Diocese gathered in deep devotion on 2 November to mark All Souls’ Day, a day dedicated to remembering and praying for the departed.
Cemeteries throughout the diocese became places of quiet reflection as families and parish communities offered flowers, lit candles, and attended Holy Masses for their loved ones.
A Mass was held at St Mary’s Cemetery in Jaffna, presided over by Rev. Fr. Arulanantham Jawis, Parish Priest of Gurunagar. The Vicar General, Rev. Fr. Josephdas Jebaratnam, concelebrated the liturgy alongside several priests, religious, seminarians, and a large congregation of the faithful.
