A two-day diocesan conference organized by the Legion of Mary Comitium of the Jaffna Diocese was held on the 11th and 12th of October at shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage, Chatty.
The conference was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jesephdas Jebaratnam, Vicar General of the Diocese, and coordinated by Rev. Fr. R.H. Sahayanayagam, Spiritual Director of the Comitium.
Talks and discussions focused on themes such as the spirituality of St. Ignatius, the mission and vision of service, the role of Mary and the Legion of Mary, the core principles of the apostolate, and the responsibilities of officers and members.
The program also featured group discussions, report presentations, and fellowship sessions. The event concluded with a Holy Mass presided over by the Bishop of Jaffna, Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam.
Around 270 participants from parishes across the diocese took part, reinforcing unity and commitment among Legion members.
