The conferral of ministries took place on October 6 at St. Xavier’s Major Seminary in Colombuthurai, Jaffna.
The Eucharistic celebration, organized under the leadership of Rector Rev. Fr.I.P. Thayaparan, was presided over by the Bishop of Jaffna, Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam.
During the ceremony, Brothers John Philip John Emiltan, Renald Johnson John Hilton, and Stanislaus Stephenraj from the Diocese of Jaffna, and Brother Pathmanathan Anton Reginold of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, were ordained as deacons.
Seven other seminarians from the dioceses of Jaffna, Mannar, Chilaw, and Trincomalee received the ministries of Lector and Acolyte.
The celebration was attended by priests, religious, and members of the faithful.
