The renovated St. John the Baptist Church in Allaiappitty was officially reopened on August 17, following the completion of restoration works.
The reopening ceremony, organized under the guidance of parish priest and dean of Islands Rev. Fr. Bernard Regno, was blessed by Rev. Fr. Jebaratnam, Vicar General of the Jaffna Diocese, who also led the inaugural Mass.
The event was attended by several priests, religious sisters, and local faithful, who gathered to celebrate the restoration of their parish church.
