The priestly ordination ceremony for the new priests of the Diocese of Mannar was held on May 22nd at St. Sebastian’s Cathedral in Mannar.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Anthonipillai Gnanapragasam, Bishop of Mannar.
Among those ordained were Leonard Priyatharsan Fernando from the Diocese of Mannar: Mariaseelan Jerome from the IVDei congregation, and Nithiyathas Stephenraj Morayas, Francis Xavier Iruthayaraj Leon, Antonipillai Merinraj, Patrick Kingsley Suresh, Raphael Aquinas Gulas, Alveenas Iruthayaraj, Kidnan Rupesan, Felix Arulnesan, and Vinoraj from the Claretian congregation.
The ceremony was a joyful and grace-filled occasion, marking a significant moment in the lives of these new priests and in the life of the Church.
