The ordination ceremonies for new priests were held simultaneously on the 3rd of May, in the Jaffna and Trincomalee dioceses.
In the Jaffna Diocese, the ordination ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral, led by Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam the bishop of Jaffna. During the service, the following deacons were ordained as new priests: Ponnarasa Dinushan, Alexander Rohan Diony, Christy Gnanaraja Rohan, Louis Anthony Bastian, and Sanchuthan, of IVDei congregation.
In the Trincomalee Diocese, ordination ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Christian Noel Emmanuel bishop of the diocese. During this service, Deacon of the OMI congregation Sahayanathan Vimalraj, was ordained as a new priest.
