The “Isai Nadana Iravu”(இசை நடன இரவு) event, organized by the Kalaithuthu College of Aesthetics under the Thirumarai Kalamanram of the Centre for Performing Arts (CPA), took place on May 24 at the CPA open-air theatre.

The event was held under the guidance of Mrs. Angela Alphonsus, Principal of the college, and served as a vibrant platform for students specializing in fine arts to exhibit their talents.

The performances featured a rich blend of traditional and contemporary Tamil art forms, including mellisai (mellifluous music), the folk dance karagam, creative dance, viralisai natha vandanam, classical Bharatanatyam, patham, rural folk fusion, and a compelling navarasa keerthanam inspired by the Ramayana epic.

The event was attended by clergy, CPA representatives, and members of the public, who gathered to celebrate the cultural richness and artistic expression of the students.
