A newly constructed Rosary Garden at the Rasa Murukku area of the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Pandatharippu was officially inaugurated on May 13, coinciding with the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima.
The opening ceremony was organized under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Jesuthasan, the administrator of the shrine. The garden was solemnly blessed and opened by Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam, Bishop of the Diocese of Jaffna, during the day’s festive celebrations.
Designed to inspire prayer and contemplation, the Rosary Garden features sculptures depicting the Four Mysteries of the Rosary and offers a serene environment for spiritual reflection.
The initiative received financial support from Rev. Fr. Stanistan Selvanayagam, the Diocese of Hamilton in Canada, and generous contributions from local and overseas parishioners.
This project is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first Rosary Garden of such scale within the Diocese of Jaffna, adding a significant spiritual and artistic dimension to the shrine.
