The 30th annual pilgrimage to the Chartres Shrine in France, organized by the Sri Lankan Tamil Catholic Chaplaincy of France, was held on May 25th.
The event was organized by Rev. Fr. Paul Matthews Mathanraj, OMI, Director of the Chaplaincy, and brought together faithful from 18 Tamil Catholic parishes across France.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam, Bishop of the Diocese of Jaffna, presided over the Feast Mass. The liturgical celebration concluded with a Eucharistic procession and benediction, attended by thousands of devotees from various regions of France.
Additionally, on May 24th, the sacrament of Confirmation was solemnly administered to 96 children of the Chaplaincy at Goncourt. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam, the Bishop of the Diocese of Jaffna.
