A protest rally organized by the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka, together with the Jaffna Christian Union, was held in Chemmani on 30 October, calling for justice for the victims of the Chemmani mass grave and expressing solidarity with their families.

The demonstration, led by Bishop Nisantha Fernando, President of the National Christian Council, began with an interfaith prayer service at the entrance of the Sittupathi Hindu Cemetery. Participants then proceeded in a silent march to the Chemmani junction, where floral tributes were laid at the unextinguished lamp in memory of the victims.

Twelve clergy leaders, religious workers, nuns, and members of the public took part in the rally, urging truth, accountability, and justice for those affected by past human rights violations.
