The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Sri Lanka met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat to discuss pressing national concerns, with particular focus on children’s education.
The meeting, which took place on August 20, was attended by Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, Rt. Rev. Dr. Herald Antony Perera, President of the Bishops’ Conference, and other diocesan bishops.
As part of their regular triannual council, the bishops addressed key challenges facing the country and explored solutions to improve the welfare of communities nationwide.
