Dr. Suganya Aravinthan, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Music at the University of Jaffna and a member of the Board of Trustees of Thirumarai Kala Manram, the Centre for Performing Arts, has been promoted to the position of Professor of Music.
With this appointment, she becomes the first Professor of Carnatic Music in the country, marking a significant milestone in music academia.
