The Annual Acies Ceremony of the Legion of Mary of the Jaffna Diocese was held on March 15, at St. Mary’s Cathedral Jaffna.
The event was organized under the direction of the Spiritual Director of the Legion of Mary, Rev.Fr.Sahayanayagam. The programme included a gathering, a spiritual reflection, renewal of commitment, and the celebration of the Holy Mass.
The event began with the Legion of Mary prayer. This was followed by a reflection delivered by Rev.Fr.Manuvelpillai David, Director of the Ahavoli Family services Centre, on the theme “The Commitment and Mission of the Legion of Mary.”
At the conclusion of the reflection, members of the Legion renewed their commitment. The Holy Mass was presided over by the Bishop of Jaffna, Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam.
More than one thousand three hundred members of the Legion of Mary participated in the ceremony and renewed their promises.
