An inter-religious memorial service was held in Jaffna on 30th of December organized by the Jaffna District Inter-Religious Council, to pray for those affected by Cyclone Ditwa and to remember those who lost their lives.

The ceremony took place at Naga Viharaya, where religious leaders and representatives from different faiths gathered to offer prayers for the deceased, for the well-being of survivors, and for divine blessings in the New Year.

Coordinated by Shiva Sri Krupananda Gurukkal, the programme included the lighting of memorial lamps, floral tributes, condolence messages, and blessings from participating religious leaders.

Among those who took part were Co-Chairpersons of the Council, including Vicar General of the Diocese of Jaffna, Rev. Fr. Josephdas Jeberatnam, Ven. Mihahayanthurai Sirivimala Thero, Maulavi Raleem, Anglican Church Vicar General Rev. Fr. Selvan, and other members of the Inter-Religious Council.
