A twinning event bringing together children from the Haputale and Puttalam Thirumarai Kalamanrams (Center for Performing Arts) was held on May 31 at the Haputale CPA.

Organized by the Haputale CPA, the program included a special workshop led by Mr. Thairiyanathan Justin Jelood and Mr. Karansan Jagan from the Jaffna CPA. Participants engaged in discussions, group activities, interactive games, and workshops focused on leadership and personality development.

That evening, a discussion for members of both Haputale and Jaffna CPAs took place at St. Sebastian’s Church, Haputale. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Isaac Newton, Haputale CPA coordinator, and guided by Mr. Sooriyam Satheeskumar, national coordinator of CPA.

Also present were Rev. Fr. Mervin Sutharshan, Parish Priest of Haputale; Rev. Fr. Robert Claret, Assistant Parish Priest; and Rev. Fr. Anton Stephen, Assistant Executive Director of CPA.

On June 1, a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated at St. Sebastian’s Church, presided over by Rev. Fr. Anton Stephen. Following the Mass, participants visited significant landmarks in Haputale and Nuwara Eliya.

The event saw active participation from Jaffna CPA members and staff from the Jaffna Diocese Catholic Media Center, fostering fellowship and cultural exchange.
