A series of new appointments and transfers have recently taken place in the Diocese of Jaffna.
Rev. Fr. Jayakumar has been appointed as the Dean of the Kilinochchi Deanery and Parish Priest, while Rev. Fr. Jesuthasan has assumed duties as the Dean of the Ilavalai Deanery. Rev. Fr. Anto Denisious has taken on the role of Director of Caritas HUDEC Jaffna, and Rev. Fr. Baskaran has been named the Administrator of the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage in Chatty.
Rev. Fr. Eugene Francis has been appointed as the Parish Priest of Navanthurai, while Rev. Fr. Yesuratnam has assumed responsibilities as the Parish Priest of Anaikoddai. Rev. Fr. Sulaxan has been appointed as the Parish Priest of Iranaipaalai, and Rev. Fr. Raj Dilaxan has taken up duties as the Parish Priest of Vattakkachchi. Rev. Fr. Antonybala has been appointed as the Parish Priest of Mulankavil, and Rev. Fr. Francis as the Parish Priest of Kulamangal. Rev. Fr. Gnanapragasam will now serve as the Parish Priest of Paranthan, and Rev. Fr. Sylvesterthas has been assigned as the Parish Priest of St. James’ Church, Ilavalai.
In addition, Rev. Fr. Thayatheepan has been appointed as the Parish Priest of Iranai Madha Nagar, while Rev. Fr. Anton Kajeeskanth has been appointed as the Warden of the Hostel at Puthukudiyiruppu R.C. School.
Rev. Fr. Antony Rock Bastian has taken up duties as the Assistant Parish Priest of Mullaitivu, and Rev. Fr. Dinusan has been appointed as the Assistant Parish Priest of Navanthurai. Furthermore, Rev. Fr. Rohan Dioni will now serve as the Assistant Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Jaffna, and Rev. Fr. Rohan as the Assistant Parish Priest of Gurunagar.
