A free medical camp was held on the 1st of the March, at the C.T.M. School, Kattaikadu in the Kattaikadu Parish, organized by the Jaffna Catholic Doctors’ Guild an arm of the Jaffna Diocesan Laity Council.
The medical camp was conducted under the guidance of the Guild’s President, Dr. Dinesh Coonje, with the support of the Parish Priest of Kattaikadu, Rev. Fr. Vimalasekaran Vasanthan.
More than 15 doctors participated in the program, along with 60 nurses and nursing students. Services provided included blood pressure screening, eye examinations, dental treatment, cancer screening, women’s health examinations, and general medical check-ups. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
Nearly 450 patients attended the camp and received medical treatment.
