The National Small Christian Communities Commission meeting was held on March 3 and 4 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Kudagama, in the Diocese of Ratnapura.
The meeting was conducted under the leadership of the National Director, Rev. Fr. Priya Jayamanna.
The programme included cultural events, visits to Basic Christian Communities, training sessions for animators, and the presentation of reports.
The gathering was attended by Diocesan Directors and representatives of the small Christian Communities Commission. The Bishop of Ratnapura, Rt. Rev. Dr. Anton Wyman Croos, was also present and graced the occasion.
Representing the Diocese of Jaffna were the Diocesan Director of Basic Christian Communities, Rev. Fr. Ronald Sujeevan of the Claretian Congregation, Rev. Fr. Liyans, Mrs. Antony Robert lesiya and Mrs. Y. Yuslin.
