The 150th birth anniversary of Nallur Swami Gnana Prakasar was concluded with the release of a special jubilee souvenir publication on March 8.
The Jaffna Tamil Sangam, the Diocese of Jaffna, and the Oblates of Mary Immaculate congregation jointly organized the event.
The programme was held at the Provincial House of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Jaffna, under the chairmanship of Mr. Johnson Rajkumar, In-Service Advisor.
During the event, the book was officially released by Rev. Fr. Sebamalai Anburasa, a priest of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate congregation and the author of the publication.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Superior of the Jaffna Province of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Rev.Fr. Paul Jeyanthan Pachek, delivered the blessing message.
Felicitation speeches were also delivered by Senior Professor Velnambi, Co-Chairman of the Swami Gnana Prakasar Jubilee Committee and President of the Jaffna Tamil Sangam, and Rev. Fr. Josephthas Jebaratnam, Vicar General of the Diocese of Jaffna.
