Fr. Manuvelpillai David, a Jaffna Diocesan priest and Director of the Ahavoli Family Services Centre, was awarded a Doctorate degree at the 40th General Convocation of the University of Jaffna.
The convocation was held from February 19 to 22 at the university’s Indoor Stadium, chaired by Chancellor Professor Kumaravadivel. The ceremony was conducted in 12 sessions, during which 3,252 students received their degrees and academic qualifications.
At the event, Rev. Fr. David received his doctoral degree in Christian Civilization for his research titled “The Humanism of Pope John Paul II: A Sri Lankan Interpretation.”
