Fr. Jebaratnam has been appointed as a new Vicar General of the RC Diocese of Jaffna On Rev Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam, who was the Vicar General being appointed the new Bishop of Jaffna, Rev. Dr. Pathinathar Josephthas Jebaratnam has been appointed as the new V.G. by the new Bishop.
The new V.G. was functioning as the vice-Rector and a Lecturer at the Major Seminary of St. Francis Xavier at Columbuthurai.
This appointment was officially announced by the new Bishop at a Mass at the Jaffna Cathedral on Monday the 9th of November 2015.
