02.08.2018. Jaffna. Rev. Fr. N.M.Saveri, the Founder-Director of Centre for Performing Arts (Thirumarai Kalamanram/Ranga Kala Kendraya), an inter- cultural organization known for its peace-building activities through creative Arts, was given an award “in recognition of the services rendered to the field of Drama and Theatre Arts” on 19 July 2018 at the inauguration ceremony of a three-day Theatre Festival 2018 organized by the Depart of Fine Arts, University of Jaffna. Two other famous Theatre Maestros were also honored in absentia. The award-giving ceremony was presided by Professor Ratnam Vigneswaran, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna.
